Mt Bryan
Mt Bryan is a small community with outlying farms that produce cereal, cattle, sheep and famous merino sheep studs.
Once a booming rail town, the railway site has been transformed into a beautiful roadside park, with a playground for the kids, and historical displays.

Originally named after Henry Bryan, a surveyor who sadly perished in the area, the region was transformed from a wild and dangerous wasteland into the colony’s richest sheep run. Sir Hubert Wilkins grew up in the area, and went to school at Mt Bryan East. Sir Hubert is known as the most famous explorer and aviator of the northern polar area.

Access to Mt Bryan from Burra
Mt Bryan is only 10 minutes from Burra. Visitors simply take the Barrier Highway north of Burra, which runs through the centre of town. |
