The Burra Heritage Passport is the perfect way to experience the town’s heritage. Visit 49 historical sites throughout the town, with keyed access to 8 locked sites including the Burra Mine area, Redruth Gaol and the Unicorn Brewery Cellars.
Access to our three fascinating Museums, each with their own individual theme, is now included FREE with the purchase of a Burra Heritage Passport. They focus on the life and times of the mining era and each do their part in contributing towards making your stay unforgettable. Each museum is open for two hours every day, except for the Bon Accord Museum which is closed on Tues and Wed. So come for a few days, to really make the most of your stay!

Horse Riding
Located just outside Burra, this is a great activity for the whole family, or your own special interest group.
All rides can be tailored to suit your group’s needs and timeframes, with individuals able to join in with other small groups.

Bicycle Hire
See the sights of Burra the fun and healthy way! Mountain bikes and tandem bikes are available for hire through Burra Bike Hire. You can follow the route along one of four trails, or explore the town as you choose.

Burra Regional Art Gallery
Burra is the home of SA’s busiest Regional Art Gallery, with permanent exhibitions, and even a few treasures! Situated in the beautiful Old Post Office & Telegraph Station, it features the talent of many local artists and the priceless works of S T Gill, with various exhibitions on display at different times throughout the year. The gallery opens daily between 1 pm and 4 pm, admission is free.
