The Burra Railway Station is a great place to visit. Not only has it been lovingly restored from dereliction and showcases railway history, it is also a function centre, houses the Diprotodon display and boasts a unique bed and breakfast.

The Station Museum is open daily from 11am – 1pm by dedicated volunteers. You can also find interpretive history storyboards on display around the outside of the building,

Another treasure at the station is “Edie” – the historic carriage on the tracks has been recently restored by the volunteers. Peek through her windows to see how she is coming along.

If the temperature is 35 degrees or above, the Station will be closed.

The Burra Railway Station is also available for hire as a function centre and for catering. For more details – Visit their Website and Facebook.
