Built in 1890 as the offices of Elder, Smith and Co, you’ll find the Burra & Goyder Visitor Information Centre nestled into Market Square, Burra. Operating as a Visitor Centre since 1979, we’ve spent 44 years welcoming travellers to our region! Come and visit our friendly staff who love to share the history of Burra. We can suggest driving tours off the beaten track, suggest accomodation or the best spots to start exploring in the Clare Valley.

Before you begin, download the ‘Discover Goyder’ app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play and either print the Decoder Map or collect one from the Burra Visitors Centre. Then walk, cycle or drive to take on challenges at the locations you visit to learn more about Burra’s mining history and ultimately, to decode the clues you collect and solve the mystery of ‘Who was Johnny Green’?
