The Hallett Country Store is full of surprises.
We sell fuel, hot and cold food and drinks, all your sweet treats and snacks are covered. We also sell basic groceries, ice-creams, ice and newspapers.
We are an agent for Elgas and also the local Cochrane depot.
Go thru to our Arts & Crafts Emporium and check out the wonderful works made by some of our locals. Metal, Leather and Woodwork, knitted toys, baby doll clothes, hats and bags, hand towels, pots mitts, quilts, ceramics and pottery. We also sell Tilley’s soap, candles, room sprays and body lotion (an Australian based company) and Wild Fern New Zealand Manuka Honey body products.
We are an “RV Friendly Town” and invite you to spend time in the area. We have overnight camping at the “Oval” where you have access to toilets and hot showers. For a non-powered site the fee is $10, for a powered site you can park next to the shower block for a fee of $20. (price is based on 2 person per night with an extra charge of $5 per person)
To visit the restored home of Sir Hubert Wilkins , and his family, a key can be obtained for a small fee from the Hallett General Store. It’s a great place to visit!
