The Burra Spring Garden Expo will be open Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The Open Gardens are open 10.00am – 4.00pm both days .
A single day ticket for both Saturday and Sunday is $15, which gives you entry to both the Expo and the Open Gardens.
A weekend pass is $25 per person and kids are free.
This years Open Gardens will feature 12 gardens in Burra, Farrell Flat, Mt Bryan and Hallett. This is your chance to meet and chat with with keen gardeners and see their gorgeous gardens in full bloom and to find out how they cope with frosts and our dry and windy conditions.

Sophie Thomson and Trevor Nottle will once again be here with special presentations on plants for a changing climate.
Dr Lucy Sutherland, Director of Adelaide Botanic Gardens, will be opening Open Gardens and speaking on the benefits of gardening for health and the therapeutic effects for mental well being.

The Burra Fun Run is a family friendly event promoting physical activity and well being.
Come along and be part of the 2019 Burra Fun Run on Sunday October 20th, starting at Burra Oval on Smelts Road. You can choose to walk or run the 3, 5 or 10km course. No skateboards, bikes, scooters or pets.
A country style barbecue in a heritage church setting.
Join us on Sunday 20th October and our Italian chef for kebabs, burgers, sausages, all locally made and beautiful fresh salads. Meet Ezio , who has donated his services to support this event, for a bite to eat and a chat in beautiful surroundings.

A fun afternoon during the Open Garden weekend, take a break and help raise some much needed funds for the drought relief. Enjoy the organ music in the church and the beautiful stained glass windows then take a walk to the hall and enjoy your lunch.
Put it in your diary folks, the Burra Picnic races are back after such a successful year last year. Not only is it a fantastic day out for young and old but last year they managed to donate $15,000 to the Royal Flying Doctors as well as several community groups.
The Burra Country Music Festival is on the 3RD WEEKEND in NOVEMBER. A fantastic line up of Local, Interstate and International Acclaimed Artists. Fun for the whole Family with workshops, Line Dancing, Talent quest plus many more attractions and the chance to win a one and only South Australian Scholarship to the Prestigious Tamworth Country Music Academy of Australia, CMAA. A fantastic weekend to spend with Friends and Family, or meet some new people.
The Festival has fast become a much sort Event and recently been awarded the one and Only Norfolk Island “Trans Tasman Entertainer of the Year” awardee for South Australia. Only one SA entertainer can enter the “TTEOTY” and for the Festival to be given the prestigious task of selecting is an astounding recognition of the Prominence the Festival and its committee have achieved.

The 2020 Burra Vintage & Antique Fair will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of May. Two halls full of Antiques and Collectables with dealers from across the state plus ‘Markets on the Green’ in Market Square on Saturday and a giant Trash and Treasure auction on Sunday, Come along and enjoy all the fun of the fair!
