This quaint little stone cottage is quintessential Burra and like so much else in Burra is a real step back in time. Overlooking pretty gardens it has 2 bedrooms and is great for Mum and Dad and 2 kids. You could never describe it as spacious but it has all the charm and comfort you need for a short break in the country.
The slow combustion wood fire keeps you toasty warm in winter and there is air-conditioning for summer too.
You can also help yourself to fruit and vegies and herbs in season in the garden and eggs if the chooks are behaving!
The cottage is easy walking distance to the Bon Accord Mine and Museum, Bon Accord Hotel and the Historic Railway Station.
Provisions are left for continental breakfasts or there are several cafes in town where you can have cooked breakfasts or lunch.
If you wish to dine at Burra’s very popular La Pecora Nera (The Black Sheep) Restaurant you will need to make a prior booking as it is very popular.
